About Me

Hi, Phil here.

I’m a fan of hiking, climbing, skiing, camping and the great outdoors and work in digital marketing.

I grew up in what is now the South Downs National Park and so was lucky enough to have endless places to walk & cycle on my doorstep. But having been part of a family who work in the airline industry, I got to travel the world from an early age which meant I only really started to explore the other stunning national parks the UK has to offer in my twenties having studied Marine Geography at Cardiff University and often visiting the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park during my years there.

I have since explored them all hiking or biking and taken part in events including:

  • Competed in the English MTB Marathon in the New Forest
  • Run the length of the South Downs Way
  • Cycled the South Downs Way twice
  • Raced the South Downs Way at night
  • Run the North Downs Way
  • Run the Welsh 3000’s in Snowdonia
  • Run the Scafell Sky Race in the Lake District
  • Run the Pen Y Fan & Fan Y Big fell races in the Brecon Beacons
  • Completed the Cuillin Ridge Traverse on the Isle of Skye (no National Park status)
  • Completed the Three Peaks
  • Climbed in Snowdonia, Cairngorms, Peak District & Dartmoor
